Walking in Daddy's Shoes

The other day, as we were getting ready for church, my son Jude, put mu shoes on and started walking around. As he was walking around, he was singing, "I walkin' in daddy's shoes." While watching him walk around in my shoes, I started thinking about all the things I want to see him do and all the places I want him to be able to go to. I want my son to not only walk in my shoes, but I want him to go farther than I do.
In that moment, I heard the voice of the Lord say, "I want you to walk in my shoes. The very thing you want for Jude, is what I want for you."
I was reminded of John 14:12, "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father."

God desires for His children not only to do His works, but even greater. It starts by walking in His shoes. We are commissioned to release the Kingdom of God wherever we go. His work should be our starting point. Are you walking in His shoes?
Father, you said that I would do the works that you did and greater. I release today in my life the works of the Kingdom in order to see the Kingdom of Heaven brought to earth. In Jesus' name! Amen
